International Exhibition of Publishing and Books in Casablanca
This exhibition, born in 1987, now annual, brings together the
national and international publishing community, and aims to promote the
Moroccan book as much as reading in general. The program includes lectures,
debates, poetry readings and theme nights. The SIEL takes place at the Palace
of the Casablanca Fair.
The Casablanca International Book Fair is one of the largest
cultural festivals of the book in the Kingdom of Morocco at the national and
international levels. Which will be held on the 29th of March each year for ten
days in the economic capital Casablanca under the supervision and organization
of the General Directorate of Exhibitions in partnership with the Ministry of
Culture in the Kingdom of Morocco under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, the
exhibition area is 23,800 m 2, making it one of the most important cultural
events to meet all social and cultural events With different intellectual and
literary orientations from authors, painters, publishers and artists as well as
to the audience of the Grand Exhibition.
Cultural program and activities
The exhibition is attended by a number of specialized publishing
houses in various fields such as scientific, social, political, educational and
economic knowledge. The number of foreign and Arab publishing houses from 44
countries in addition to cultural institutions and centers Research,
associations and universities.
Children's Suite [edit]
Every year, the exhibition will feature a special publishing
house dedicated to children's books, which has received unprecedented attention
from Arab, foreign and adults alike. The exhibition seeks to raise the level of
reading among Arab children through various initiatives aimed at encouraging
children to read, Children, and motivate children to acquire books and enjoy
reading them.

The 25th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair
has been a major event for children. A number of public and private schools,
both inside and outside Casablanca, are organizing visits to their students.
These visits will provide students with an opportunity to get
closer to books, build bridges of communication with them, and guide new
generations to the digital world and technology as an alternative to paper.
